ABOUT
I am Teá Mox, a Mexican oil painter and musician based in Miami, Fl.
Usually armed with a 20/0 brush and a pre-mixed palette of oils, I use art as a way to document my internal world.
Entirely female-centric, my paintings often serve as commentary on the pink woes with an (occasionally pink) psychedelic twist.
Technique-wise, my goal is to replicate the sense of fake found in blatantly staged editorial photographs. I need clean edges and flawless gradients like a vampire needs blood.
Narrative-wise, my paintings are scenes of emotional nudity, designed through a lens of dark humor. I call it Visual Poetry.
When I am not painting, I am either composing music on my laptop or writing lyrics. My songs are entirely self-written and self-produced from my bedroom. My songwriting is a new toy for intro and extrospection.
In the end, sound and paint are only mediums. I am in love with art itself.
